Did you know that a giraffe's tongue is over a foot and a half long?
It is black because giraffe's stick their tongue out all the time to get leaves
to eat and it protects them from sunburn. Look at that cutie....aw!

I got Giraffey when I was 2 and Sandi got Dumbo. She lets me babysit him. They growed up together and do everything with me, even sleep. I got them from the Hogle Zoo! When I cry Dumbo wipes my tears away with his little trunk!

Hogle Zoo Baby Giraffe

I saw this baby Giraffe when I was little at the Hogle Zoo. I love it too, and now I am 6!  Did you know that a mommy and a baby giraffe have matching spots?

Baby Zuri at the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City

When I was a baby my mommy took me to the Hogle Zoo and I fell in love with Zuri. Isn't she cute? She is an African elephant and this is her mommy Christine.  Christine likes her tusks short so she scrapes them on things to break them and file them like finger nails.
